What is DX?

DX stands for Digital Transformation, which innovates a company's organizational culture, business model, and industrial ecosystem 

based on digital technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Big Data. 

It refers to the process of transforming into a company that can create new value in response to changes in customers and the market. 

It means a fundamental change and transformation at a higher level than ‘digitalization’, which refers to the change itself from analog to digital. 

In a word, it can be seen as a management strategy that fundamentally changes a company's strategy, organization, process, business model, culture, communication, and system.

How environmental companies realize DX

So, what does the DX envisioned by environmental companies ‘Techcross Water & Energy’ and ‘Techcross Environmental Services’ look like? 

'Techcross Water & Energy' and 'Techcross Environmental Service' provide services for the entire environmental industry value chain, 

including design, procurement, construction, and operation management of environmental facilities such as industrial water, public sewage 

and wastewater, waste treatment, and energy conversion. We are persuing DX with the primary goal of improving business site stability 

and performance capabilities. As a result, we established the DX Task Force Team (TFT) and completed the DX roadmap. 

Our next step is to ▲discover and perform DX pilot tasks, ▲internalize DX technology, and ▲spread DX consensus.

In addition, we took the lead in spreading DX understanding and consensus among employees by holding the ‘DX Idea & Creation AI Use Case Internal Contest’ last June.

Actively carrying out DX pilot tasks

Currently, ‘Techcross Water & Energy’ and ‘Techcross Environmental Services’ are actively pursuing various DX pilot projects in consideration of the needs of business sites. We have successfully completed 'AI-based membrane fouling optimization', 'construction of an integrated management system for operational data', 'real-time remote technical support', 'digitalization of analog measuring instruments', and 'predictive maintenance of driving equipment', etc., and pilot test verification was conducted this year. To this end, we plan to expand field application as well as continue to identify challenges. In addition, in order to secure smart operation management capabilities, we plan to establish a wastewater intelligence operation management manual and accelerate the internalization of related technologies by establishing and utilizing an HR system and expanding the application of DX.
