Techcross Water & Energy Site Superintendent PARK Geun-Seup is Awarded “Prime Minister's Industrial Disaster Prevention Award”

Techcross Water & Energy Inc. (representative director: KIM Jeong-Cheol) announced that PARK Geun-Seup, the site superintendent in charge of the company’s LG Display Environmental Facility Project, was awarded the Prime Minister's award at the “Launching Ceremony for Winners of 2020 Industrial Disaster Prevention Award” held at Songdo Convensia, Premier Hall A on the 16th (Thurs.), at 11 a.m.

 

Park, who has been serving as the safety and health general manager at environmental facility and water treatment construction sites in the semiconductor and display sector-- one of the key components in IT industry, for 24 years, was recognized for contributing to zero disaster by establishing safe and healthy culture through preemptive prevention activities.

 

Techcross Water & Energy has established an accident prevention management system through reinforced review, implementation and constant improvement of preemptive risk management plans, including work permission system for high-risk works, risk assessment and use of CCTVs, and operates various safety management systems such as education, assessment and improvement. In particular, all employees of the company actively participate in “Proactive Safety Action”, a system to discover potential risk factors in advance, which is greatly helpful in decreasing the number of safety-related accidents. Moreover, the “Safety-Pre Construction Meeting” system led by workers and site managers, strives to resolve problems together with partners in order to prevent every possible safety accident.

 

The award winner Park stated, “I feel delighted to be awarded a meaningful prize as a site superintendent and will continue to do my best to prevent safety accidents.”
