Techcross Water & Energy Inc. (representative director: KIM Jung-Chul) was selected as the preferred bidder of the “Privately-Invested Project for Public Sewage Treatment Facility Extension in Asan New Town”, of which a third party bidder invitation notice was published in last February.

This project is to expand the daily capacity of Asan New Town's public sewage treatment facility from current 45,000 to 73,000, with estimated investment of approx. KRW 73.5 billion, a 38-month construction period (based on construction commencement date) and a 20-year operation period (based on operation commencement date; expected operation costs: approx. KRW 6.6 billion).

The project is expected to provide stable sewage treatment service in preparation for the expected surge in sewage generation due to various industrial complex and urban development projects in progress at Tangjeong-myeon, Baebang-eup and Eumbong-myeon regions.  The preferred bidder, Techcross Water & Energy, is an integrated environmental service provider engaging in environmental EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) and O&M (operation and management) projects. The company proposed the project first.

The company has begun negotiations with Asan City and is expected to sign a concession agreement, and obtain approval for its concession plan and commence construction early next year.

An official of Techcross Water & Energy said that “this is a noteworthy performance after being selected as the preferred bidder of ‘Privately-invested Project for Yeosu Sewage Reclamation’ in this February,” and added, “we are continuing to expand our business in domestic privately-invested water treatment projects.”
